- Dec 72:00 PMOffice of Institutional Transformation’s Holiday Open HouseStudents, faculty, and staff are invited to enjoy some cookies, coffee, and conversation at the Office of Institutional Transformation’s holiday open house. The campus community is invited to stop by. “At the heart of building a Beloved Community at Notre Dame is taking the time to gather, learn more about each other, and establish relationships of goodwill and trust,” said Rev. Hugh Page, vice president for institutional transformation and advisor to the president. “That doesn’t always have to happen in a conference room or a meeting. Informal gatherings can result in fruitful dialogue and connection.” Page said the ideal attendees at the open house include those who are deeply familiar with the objectives of the office and those who know very little about what it does. While the Institutional Transformation team has met and partnered with many people across campus since their work began in 2022, the office is still relatively new and team members often meet with people who have questions about their structure or mission. “Such encounters help demystify the work of Institutional Transformation and can lead to new opportunities for advancing diversity and inclusion efforts across the University,” said Eve Kelly, associate director of strategic initiatives and senior advisor to the vice president of Institutional Transformation. She added, “For many reasons, December is a month that is synonymous with reflection and gratitude, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity to work with so many wonderful partners in making Notre Dame an even more welcoming place to learn, work, and visit.”
