- Feb 287:30 PMNotre Dame Symphony Orchestra with Sylvan TrioDuring the center's 20th-anniversary season, two local fixtures in classical music, Sylvan Trio and Notre Dame Symphony Orchestra, make their Presenting Series debuts. The planned program includes a selection of works, including French composer Vincent d'Indy's Concerto for Flute, Cello, Piano, and Strings, Op. 89. This piece, written in 1926, was the composer's final orchestral work and promises an engaging dialogue between an intimate solo group and a larger ensemble. GET TICKETS

This program encourages participants to engage—in guided or freestyle ways—with materials inspired by the themes, techniques, and media of a featured work of art. This season, we’ll focus on Ephiphanic Mass (Epitaph) by Julie Mehretu. Each month there will be a different project, allowing for new ways to connect with this work. Our Studio Host will be available to guide you through the month’s project or support you in your own creative endeavors. All materials are provided. - Mar 21:00 PMMeet Your Museum TourThis drop-in tour will introduce you to your new Raclin Murphy Museum of Art. Join a student gallery teacher or a member of the Museum staff to explore the architecture of the building through some of its most unique spaces, revisit familiar favorites from the collection, and discover works of art on view for the first time. Meet at the Welcome Desk. No registration is required, but each tour is limited to twenty participants. This tour will explore all gallery levels of the Museum. - Mar 28:00 PMMarvin Mills, organMarvin Mills will perform for the finale of this season's organ recital series at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the stunning Murdy Family Organ. A native of Philadelphia, Mills currently serves as the organist at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Kensington, Maryland. Additionally, he is the music director of the acclaimed National Spiritual Ensemble and a guest artist with the Ritz Chamber Players based in Jacksonville, Florida. His previous positions include Associate Minister of Music at National City Christian Church, Director of Music at All Souls Church, Unitarian, and University Organist at Howard University, all located in Washington, DC. Increasing yourresearch self-efficacy can increase the likelihood that you will successfully perform tasks, pursue aresearch career, and make important contributions to your field. This session is designed to providescholars the knowledge and skills to: 1) define self-efficacy and it sources; 2) identify signs of self-efficacy; 3) build your own self-efficacy; 4) assess the influence of others on your research self-efficacy; and 5) devise strategies to support others’ research self-efficacy.
