- Mar 137:00 PMSouth Bend Youth Symphony Orchestras Gala ConcertThe South Bend Youth Symphony Orchestras presents its annual gala concert. The concert features Symphony Orchestra performing Howard Shore's original film score to The Lord of the Rings Symphony: The Two Towers and The Return of the King, in collaboration with Penn High School Choirs, Notre Dame Children's Choir, and guest artist soprano, Kaitlyn Lusk. SBYSO is the only youth orchestra in the world to perform this epic soundtrack. Guest soloist Solomia Soroka joins the Symphony Orchestra in performing the classic violin showpiece Zigeunerweisen. The Concert Orchestra will perform music from The Hobbit and other journey-inspired works. Our gala concert is our major fundraiser of each season. Don't miss it! Join a student gallery teacher or a member of the Museum staff to explore the architecture of the building through some of its most unique spaces, revisit familiar favorites from the collection, and discover works of art on view for the first time. Meet at the Welcome Desk. No registration is required, but each tour is limited to twenty participants. This tour will explore all gallery levels of the Museum.
