Ginkgo
This tree is also called the maidenhair tree. It features simple, fan-shaped bright green leaves that provide an attractive yellow color in fall. Today, the tree works well as an urban street tree. It transplants easily and grows well in confined spaces. For example, you can find many small ginkgo trees lining Eddy Street. Larger ginkgo trees that glow a bright yellow color in fall can be found on campus on the Main Quad, and next to Grace Hall, O'Shaughnessy Hall and Fisher Hall.
