Within the Department of Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics (ACMS), Notre Dame researchers are advancing solutions to critical problems in science and engineering, such as cancer progression, gene sequencing, environmental modeling, and big-data analysis in global health, through the development and novel application of mathematics, computation, and statistics.
