The Tree Genetics Core Facility provides DNA fingerprinting services for cultivar identification and pedigree analysis for chestnut (Castanea sp.), black walnut (Juglans nigra), Japanese walnut (Juglans ailantifolia), and butternut (Juglans cinerea). Services include genotyping both nuclear and chloroplast genomes.
The Tree Genetics Core Facility is available to Notre Dame researchers, as well external users, such as government agencies, private foundations, and individuals.
