Dowd, C.S.C., and Vice President and Advisor to the President Rev. Hugh R. Page, Jr. Congratulations, Class of 2025! All students who have participated in and been formed by courses at the Institute for Social Concerns are invited to attend a ceremony that celebrates a commitment to the common good. Cords will be given to students completing the Catholic Social Tradition Minor and Poverty Studies Interdisciplinary Minor. Following the ceremony, families and friends are invited to attend an evening of celebration, food, and drinks. We look forward to celebrating with you! Please register by May 11 to reserve your tickets and have your name featured in the program. All are welcome even if registering after May 11.

The DeBartolo Performing Arts Center is excited to invite you to our Juneteenth Celebration and Resource Fair. On Friday, June 13, we're hosting our third Juneteenth commemoration—you won't want to miss it.From 3:30–6:30 p.m., we'll feature approximately 50 incredible local businesses and organizations to support. Additionally, food trucks will serve delicious bites while you enjoy music spun by a live DJ. We can't wait to celebrate and share this special day with you. We hope to see you there, so RSVP now and mark your calendar.Juneteenth commemorates the enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in the westernmost Confederate state of Texas by Union troops who arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas, on June 19, 1865, two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln issued the Proclamation.
