Demonstrations and hands-on activities in STEM lectures provide a unique opportunity for students to predict, observe, and analyze the concepts of the lesson. Integrating aspects of inquiry-based learning into these lessons can optimize student engagement. The abbreviated election campaign took place amidst turmois created by a major terrorist attack, unprecedented misinformation campaigns staged by foreign actors, and general populist unrest around the world. What does the election portend for the future of Germany, the European Union, oand of democracy in the twenty-first century?
