- Apr 146:00 PMRaise Your VoiceApril is Sexual Violence Awareness Month. Victims of sexual violence include people of any age, race, gender, religion, and ability. Not only is sexual violence universally common, for college and college-age students, the statistics grow even more alarming—one in four will experience some type of sexual violence in their college years.Saint Mary's is the only women’s college in the state of Indiana, and one of 36 in the United States. As a pioneer in the education of women, it is essential that we engage in this difficult conversation. Therefore, April 14, 2025, Saint Mary's College is proud to present its fourth annual Raise Your Voice Symposium to highlight the stories of survivors of sexual violence and teach community members how we can address this pervasive issue. The event culminates with a keynote address an author and activist featured in The Hunting Ground, on April 14 at 6 p.m. in Carroll Auditorium in Madeleva Hall. Prior to the keynote, the college will host a day of educational workshops and panels led by experts in the field of sexual violence. https://www.visitsouthbend.com/event/raise-your-voice/7284/

We will explore recent Notre Dame survey data on first-year students' attitudes toward AI in writing, discuss ethical challenges, and examine how faculty can design clear and fair AI usage policies. Additionally, we will introduce the Generative AI Acceptable Use Scale and the Transparent by Design framework to help faculty create assignments that foster ethical AI engagement.
