University of Notre Dame Releases Regular Decision Admissions Decisions
NOTRE DAME, IN – The University of Notre Dame has released its Regular Decision admissions decisions for the Class of 2029, concluding another admissions cycle. With a record number 35,401 REA and RD applicants, the University admitted 9% of those who applied, selecting students distinguished not only by their academic preparation and excellence but also by their leadership, enthusiasm for the University's distinct Catholic character, and a commitment to service. A select number of students have been invited to join the waiting list.
This admissions cycle marks the first since University President Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C., announced Pathways to Notre Dame, a new initiative reinforcing the University’s long-standing commitment to affordability and access. The program expands opportunities for talented students from all backgrounds to join the Notre Dame community, ensuring that financial circumstances do not hinder access to a world-class education.
“We continue to be inspired by the incredible students who apply to Notre Dame,” said Micki Kidder, Vice President for Undergraduate Enrollment. “This year’s admitted students exemplify the faith, intellectual curiosity, compassion, and dedication to the greater good that define a Notre Dame education. We are excited to welcome these young leaders to campus and see how they will contribute to our community.”
Admitted students have until May 1 to confirm their enrollment. In the coming weeks, they will have the opportunity to engage with the University through a variety of virtual and in-person events designed to introduce them to Notre Dame’s academic, residential, and spiritual life. The University will host admitted students and families for The Rally (Admitted Student Days) on April 3-5, 2025.
More details about the enrolled Class of 2029 will be shared in late August 2025.
