The University's Power Plant is an efficient co-generation plant supplying electricity, chilled water for cooling, and steam for heating. Natural-gas-fired combustion turbines with heat-recovery steam generators, which produce energy twice as efficiently as a traditional electrical plant, replaced coal as the primary fuel source in 2019. The Power Plant also manages renewable energy projects, including a hydroelectric dam, a solar array, and numerous geothermal energy well fields and plants, as part of the University's commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

Facilities Design and Operations
