Badin Hall was built in 1897, originally as St. Joseph's Industrial School, where men trained to be blacksmiths, bricklayers, carpenters, farmers, and tailors. It became a residence hall in 1917.
Howard Hall was built in 1924, named after Notre Dame professor and future Indiana Supreme Court Justice Timothy Edward Howard.
Morrissey Manor was built in 1925, and is named after Notre Dame's 7th president, Andrew Morrissey.
Lyons Hall was also built in 1925, originally known as an honors hall.
South Dining Hall was constructed in 1927, giving students a place for to bond and visitors to eat.
Dillon and Alumni Hall were constructed in 1931. Dillon Hall is named after Rev. Patrick Dillon, Notre Dame's second president, and is the largest residence hall on campus.
Fisher Hall was built in 1952, quickly followed by Pangborn Hall in 1955.
