A groundbreaking summer camp galvanizes a group of teens with disabilities to help build a movement, forging a new path toward greater equality.Open to all Notre Dame faculty and staff.
RSVP at least one day before each film. The organizers will add registrants to a calendar invite.
Please note: Supervisor approval is required before submitting your RSVP. Time spent at these events will be considered work time only with prior approval.
The A&L Inclusion & Belonging Committee, in partnership with the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center (DPAC), invites you to join a summer community cinema capsule course.
Sponsored by DPAC, this series showcases complex stories on gentrification, race, and accessibility that provide insight into the multitudes of human experiences. The program focuses on how to be more attentive film viewers by unpacking the filmic techniques used to tell those stories and discuss how those stories hit experiences on campus and in the community.
Each film will begin with a brief introduction and be followed by a discussion led by Cinema Program Director Ricky Herbst with different local experts each week.
This event is open to and free for Notre Dame employees. As with all A&L committee programs and events, please be sure to obtain prior approval from your supervisor before attending.
