Assistant Professor Joel Mittleman received two "Best Article" Awards from the American Sociological Association for his paper entitled, "Intersecting the Academic Gender Gap: The Education of Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual America", published in the American Sociological Review in 2022. Dr. Mittleman received the two awards from the Inequality, Poverty, and Mobility (IPM) section, and the Sociology of Population section. The awards will be presented in August of 2023 at the Annual Meetings of the American Sociological Association in Philadelphia.
