Welcome to the joint Alumni Association and Crucifix Initiative Tour! We invite you to explore a unique part of Notre Dame’s spiritual and artistic heritage. This tour highlights some of the University’s remarkable collection of crucifixes. Each crucifix has a story and reflects Notre Dame's Catholic roots, artistic traditions, and global connections.
As you walk through campus, you’ll visit some of the most significant crucifixes, learning about their history, craftsmanship, and the spiritual meaning they hold for the Notre Dame community. This 30-minute tour begins in McKenna Hall and continues to DeBartolo Hall and O'Shaughnessy Hall.
The Crucifix Initiative invites you to pause and reflect deeply on each crucifix during the tour. Each tour stop has information about the crucifix's design, history, and significance. Enjoy your tour!
