Notre Dame Sustainability is hiring a Strategic Communication and Engagement Intern to join our team this summer, starting in late July. This position will assist with outreach, marketing, and engagement efforts for the office, to further improve campus community knowledge of sustainability work as well as literacy. Work will include, but not be limited to: preparing visual graphics, representing ND Sustainability at marketing events, meeting with sustainability student leaders, social media management, and composing written communication materials. Notre Dame boasts a diverse tree canopy, which plays an important role in our campus ecosystem. They filter our air, reduce the impact of the heat island effect, and add some striking beauty to the landscape. Nearly 133 billion pounds of food are wasted in the United States each year. While the majority of food is often sent to the landfill, Cultivate Food Rescue is working hard to keep food out of the landfill to feed food insecure individuals in the Michiana region.
