Christ on the Cross

Enter O'Shaughnessy through the double doors on the right of the building. This crucifix is immediately on your right upon entering the Great Hall.

A beautiful crucifix by Croatian sculptor, architect, and artist Ivan Meštrović, renowned as one of the greatest sculptors of the 20th Century, who spent the last seven years of his life as a professor at Notre Dame. His sculptures are found throughout campus and in many cities and great museums, such as the Tate Gallery in London and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This particular piece is circa 1947–1954.

Continue through the Great Hall and turn left into the corridor. The next piece is in room 110, which will be at the corridor's end.
