The finest and most talented young musicians from around the globe gather each year on the campus of the University of Notre Dame for a weekend full of truly breathtaking performances culminating in a Gold Medal Concert. Jones and Spencer each wrote articles on purpose for the Spring 2024 issue of Virtues & Vocations: Higher Education for Human Flourishing. They will reflect on their own roles and articles as well as other pieces from this issue. There will be time for audience questions. Virtues & Vocations is a national forum housed at the Center for Social Concerns at Notre Dame for scholars and practitioners across disciplines to consider how best to cultivate character in pre-professional and professional education.
